Mariam Masini

Mariam is a Legal Counsel within the Operations Division of the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF). She joined the ALSF in September 2022.

As a Legal Counsel, she is directly involved in advising African Governments in complex commercial transactions in the ALSF’s operational sectors.

Prior to joining the ALSF, Mariam was Head of Legal at the National Petroleum Agency of Sao tome and Principe where she oversaw regulatory and legal issues related to upstream and downstream activities in the oil and gas sectors. She has also worked as an international adviser at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Timor-Leste.

Mariam holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Energy and Environmental Law from the University of Aberdeen (United Kingdom) and a Bachelor of Laws Degree with specialization in Legal Business Studies from the University of Coimbra (Portugal).
