Dr Gaston Kenfack appointed ALSF Management Board member

The African Legal Support Facility (ALSF)’s Management Board is responsible for the efficient and effective conduct of all its operations, as well as the approval of its Budget and appointment of its Director. The Board is composed of five members, serving in their personal capacity, who are each appointed by the Governing Council for a three-year, non-renewable term.
 
During their 9th Annual Meetings held on 21st May 2018 in Busan, Korea, the ALSF Governing Council bid a fond farewell to Mr. Amadou Dieng, the outgoing member of the ALSF Board, and subsequently appointed Dr. Gaston Kenfack to join the Management Board for a three-year period beginning on 30 June 2018 to 29 June 2021.
 
Dr. Gaston Kenfack is currently the Director of Legislation at the Ministry of Justice in Cameroon.  He holds a Doctorate in International Economic Law from the University of Paris I (Pantheon Sorbonne) obtained in 2005, a Certificate on Trade, Negotiations and Settlement of Trade Disputes from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (USA) (2004) and a Habilitation to Direct Research at the University of Pau in France. He is the Editor of the “Revue Camerounaise de l’Arbitrage”, the President of the Association for the Promotion of Arbitration in Africa (APAA) and the Chairman of the 49th Session of United Nations Commission on international Trade Law (UNCITRAL). He also teaches in different universities around the world.
