APLA is a legislation gathering, organization, dissemination, capacity building and utilization project with four main activities:
(i) creation of the APLA platform, a free online one-stop resource for Africa’s petroleum legal framework (petroleum laws, regulations and related legislations) with interactive features to provide comparative data;
(ii) Production of a guiding template with a menu of options and examples for the full range of issues covered under a petroleum law;
(iii) capacity building through training of African legal professionals in the use of the platform and on overall issues in petroleum law; and
(iv) catalyzing African home-grown research on petroleum related-issues affecting the continent.
